Astro Pong
A multiplayer Pong application. My frontend work focused on mobile navigation, responsive chat layouts, and game instructions.
My contribution
I added quick-game and settings access to the mobile navigation, corrected chat labels, and worked on responsive chat and instruction layouts. These changes are recorded in my commits to the team repository.
Problem
Give players access to Pong games and the surrounding chat and profile interfaces. On smaller screens, players still need a direct route into a game, its settings, and their conversations.

Adapt chat and instructions to smaller screens
My changes adjust chat and instruction layouts and clarify chat labels. The work fits into the existing team component structure rather than introducing a separate mobile application.
State and data flow
The shared application keeps conversations and the selected chat in a React context, with requests and WebSocket events supplying messages. The chat layout reads that state and keeps the mobile panel’s open/closed state locally. My changes sit in the navigation and responsive interface layer of this team architecture.
Testing and validation
The source references show the changed navigation links, chat labels, and responsive layouts. A repeatable check of the signed-in chat and game flows needs the team’s running backend and a test account. The frontend package does not define an automated test command.
Result
Mobile navigation includes quick-game and settings actions. Chat labels and layouts were updated alongside the instruction screens. I contributed these frontend changes within the team’s shared application.
What I would improve next
Add repeatable keyboard and small-screen checks for the navigation and chat flows, then capture the signed-in interfaces against a working backend.
